Adopt-A-Pantry Dine Out

Early in 2018, the Staten Island Giving Circle decided to designate our attention to food scarcity as our No.1 initiative to be carried out throughout the the year. We assembled a strong, enthusiastic team who have gathered enormous support and results. It is our plan to award 42 food pantries each $500 worth of grocery gift cards. They organized a jewelry party in April which resulted in approximately ($500) in proceeds toward the goal of $21,000. The next event took place at Confections Dessert Lounge in Tottenville where nearly $5,000 was raised with the sale of Gift Baskets. Next, and until our culmination Dine Out for Pantries evening, we are selling raffle tickets ($20/each). Winners of the raffle will win $2,500, $1,000 and $500 (1st, 2nd, 3rd prizes). In addition, we are soliciting local restaurants to participate in the October 11 Dine Out by gifting us a percentage of that day’s profits.
