| PREPARE TO BE DAZZLED!!! We are very excited to distribute this week’s “Update” as its main purpose is to remind you of this week’s Thursday night’s meeting at our NEW LOCATION: 4170 Hylan Blvd. – The Staten Island Giving Circle HUB. This is the former location of Bozo’s Army/Navy Store which was a well-known/respected fixture of Staten Island. Through its owner family (Laura Parenti-Norden), the space has been magically transformed to our own space. And by magic, I don’t mean Abra Cadabra – it has taken months of extensive planning and work. You absolutely need to attend this first meeting at The Hub. We think you will be speechless. As you know, one of the primary uses of the space is as a monthly Military Food Pantry for disabled, homebound and struggling military veterans. The space is also being gobbled up for other community service meetings, activities which Michele and Kathy will explain on Thursday. Michele will also explain how our Website has been refreshed for the New Year. She has been working with Selwyn to add Donate buttons and relevant information onto our website. We have already seen new activity through the Charity Raffle Donate button and have loved seeing old friends return to participate. We will be welcoming some new SIGC volunteers and our speaker will be Lisa Barra from Phillips Foundation. See you Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. at The HUB…..come a little early so we can settle in and bask in the new surroundings.
