Tuesday, September 1 Catch Up

Hi Everybody; Happy September!
In keeping with our Tuesday updates, we thought we’d be consistent and drop you a short note. We just want you to know that we are actively distributing a ton of collected and purchased School Supplies and there will be enough supplies to assist over 1,000 underserved students
Our Pet Portrait Fundraiser is slowly gaining momentum and we have additional information for you. Christine Hanna and Carolyn Corbo continue to brainstorm and share new ideas to enhance this initiative. We are adding HOUSES to the project. Many times, people love to display a photograph of their current home and also perhaps their childhood home. Taking this thought even further, Christine’s husband suggested we include photos of boats and cars (particularly vintage or sports) to our ideas for digitized photos/portraits (which, remember are matted and backed). Those ideas would be great for men’s caves. We are offering this project for $25 for black and white portraits and $35 for enhanced/colored images. Remember this is a FUNDRAISER and the proceeds will benefit our S.T.E.A.M. and Literacy Zoom Sessions (beginning in October).
We are ready and anxious to resume our Weekend Food Backpack initiative. We will be supporting FIVE schools with backpacks for their neediest students.
We continue to answer S.O.S. calls for needed clothing, supplies, and guidance every day.
Our next “regular” monthly ZOOM meeting will be Wednesday, September 16, 7:00 p.m.
